PixelBit is a multi-disciplined creative studio located in Framingham, Massachusetts delivering award-winning, engaging and innovative solutions for clients of all sizes. Over the years our team has been provided the opportunity to work on engaging projects and partner with some amazing brands across the globe.
The company was born from a small freelance company mkeefeDESIGN, to offer a wider array of services to other much larger agencies. As we continued to work on a steady stream of higher caliber projects, the team shifted focus to work direct to client as well as help smaller companies and agencies with the same award-winning process.
We know words can only go so far and invite you to look over our showcase of work to see the solutions we've provided for brands of all sizes, you may even see some familiar names. Whether its a micro-site or full marketing campaign, the PixelBit team delivers every time.
The name PixelBit is a combination of technologies and skills. We start work from the simplest element (pixel = design, bit = code) and evolve that into completed product. Working from a lower-level in the thought and discovery process allows us to provide a more tailored and fitting solutions for our clients.
In the beginning, the name was a reference to Matthew & Philip bringing their freelance services together. It later evolved into a full service creative studio which contains amazing talent and has a proven track record of shipping awesome projects.

Doug started out drawing all his artwork with good old fashioned paper and pencil and still does to this day, but in 1998 (after purchasing his first computer), Doug began to design graphics for the Web. It was just for a few friends at first who wanted web buttons, guest book designs, and page elements. Pretty soon people started paying him and that has led to where he is today. Doug believes deep down he's always been a kid at heart. His work reflects this with character and personality. It makes people smile.. and at the end of the day that should be the goal of any great design — to make people happy.

Great experience working with Matthew Keefe and PixelBit. He was always available and got back to me timely. He was also always willing to meet in person. I would recommend PixelBit to others.
When working with Matt Keefe as a freelance talent, I found him to be a consummate professional and an expert in his field ? the guy authored the Flash and PHP Bible, for goodness sakes! Matt shined on a long-term placement for a client in Boston and continued to impress on several other on-site and remote projects that he was placed on, all involving high-level web application development. Matt is skilled at handling the needs of clients and responds quickly to their concerns. I know that I will be calling on Matt in the future and that my client's will continue to find him to be a great resource for their web application development needs.
PixelBit has done a couple of development projects for us and I would not hesitate to hire them again. They are easy to work with, very responsible and works to deadline. They have excellent technical knolwedge and are a creative problem solver. An excellent resource.
Matthew is an extraordinarily mind-blowing professional developer. Over the course of nearly the past five years, Matt has poured his intelligence and expertise into a bundle of my projects. He is the most straightforward and efficient person I've worked with and would give my highest recommendations to him as a web professional.
Ho! Khe dazhi baashe?
[Hello! Are you all well?]
My name is Justin McBride, the Language Director for the Kaw Nation. We are a Native American tribe located in north central Oklahoma. For the past several years, we have been involved in a project to bring the tribe's Kanza language lessons into the digital age. We coded a semester's worth of language units in XML, made sound and image files corresponding to the words we covered, and designed a game to help reinforce the vocabulary. Then we turned our project over to a developer to realize our goals. That developer was Matthew Keefe.
Matthew has a real knack for multimedia development. He is particularly skilled in using the Adobe AIR environment and its related technologies, including Flash and Shockwave. He has been able to translate our XML vision into AIR reality. This involved the development of a stand-alone user interface (graphic design by Organi Studios), multi-function lesson and lexicon browsers, and a user progress tracking system, as well as the successful transformation of our vocabulary game from conceptual algorithm into a fully media-integrated video game. Additionally, Matthew has been a very prompt and patient developer. Despite our tedious governmental service-procurement processes, complicated project needs, and even the fact that our offices are located a half a continent away from one another, he has made the whole enterprise enjoyable. In short, he definitely has the goods to deliver on a complex project.
I would recommend PixelBit to anyone seeking a multimedia development solution web-based or otherwise. If you would like to discuss this matter with me, please contact me using the information provided below. Wiblaha, Matt!
Matt jumped into a very difficult development project that had serious technical and time challenges. He was incredibly accomodating, worked well with everybody on the team, responded quickly to questions, and brought a high level of expertise to the job. Great value - we couldn't have done it without him.
As CTO of Inverted Creative I have hired Matthew Keefe as one of the best consultants the company has ever used. With a truly deep knowledge in Flash he was able to not only perform above expectations on the projects we utilized him on, but also help with solutions for random bugs or challenges other developers in the company faced. He is a great asset to our development team.
PixelBit is one of the great icons in the digital media space. I have greatly enjoyed following in Matt's mentorship over the past several years, and quite frankly, owe a lot of my own success to what I have learned from watching him. As a professional, Matt offers unmatched talent and professionalism. As a community leader, Matt brings his experiences to a welcoming audience of millions of eager media professionals and novices alike.
